A family member prays in thanking God and asking Him to receive this worship in pleasure.
Scripture & Application
1. During Jeremiah’s time, the people of Israel lived in peace and were quite rich. How do you think they felt when they heard Jeremiah’s message in chapter 10:17-25 and 11:6-17? How would you feel if God said that he was going to punish the church in America for our sins? Please share with one another.
2. After everything Jeremiah preached, the people of Israel hated him so much that some of them planned to kill him. Read chapter 11:18-23. Do you remember another prophet who the people of Israel killed because he told them things they didn’t want to hear (his name begins with a J!)? How do you react when God gives you messages you don’t want to hear? Please share with one another.
