- Read v. 5, 24, and 36-40: What kind of emotions do you think God was feeling when he tells this to Jeremiah? Even though God sent Bablyon to punish Israel, do you think he was happy about what Babylon was doing? How do you think God feels about punishing his people?
- Who eventually punishes Babylon? It was Cyrus the King of Persia! God didn’t use Israel to get revenge against Babylon. What does this tell you about how God feels about revenge or getting back at other people?
