- The northern kingdom of Israel falls after its continuous sin and neglect against the Lord. Verse 7-9 shows that the Israelites committed countless sins, both privately and publicly against the Lord. What pattern do you see in today’s culture that is similar to Israelite’s
- Verse 14 shows that despite God’s continuous desire to have His People repent and return to Him, the Israelites were “stiff-necked” and never repented. What unrepentance do we see in our own lives?
- The latter half of the chapter shows that although the resettled people in Samaria worshiped God, they continued their idolatry and sinful customs. We, too, worship God, yet often find ourselves in following the sinful ways of the world. What are the potential warning signs from this passage regarding our religious commitment and lifestyle?
